Join us for a free Lunch & Learn. Featuring presenter Mason Chock of Kauaʻi Commons

May 8 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

We’d like to invite you to a free Lunch & Learn this Friday, May 8, hosted at our Small Business Hub space in the Community Lab at Kalukalu at 1624.

Have you ever wanted to initiate a project or business but have hesitated because of economic uncertainty and environmental implications? For the last two centuries, we have struggled to balance financial sustainability while maintaining ecological prosperity. Kauai Commons intends to bridge the gap for a more cohesive and responsible future. Attend this free introductory workshop to learn more about this incubator program and our upcoming cohort.

Kaua’i Commons is a business incubator built on the belief that the most innovative enterprise models already exist here, in the ecosystems and Indigenous wisdom of this island. Biomimicry – an emerging set of tools that translates nature-based ideas into successful businesses, products, and enterprises – is a $34 billion global market, and nowhere is it more powerful than here, where Hawaiians have understood for centuries how to thrive on an isolated island in the middle of the Pacific. Our mission is to connect that ancient wisdom with modern business, using biomimicry to help entrepreneurs build successful ventures that honor climate, culture, and ecology.
