Hale ʻŌpio Summer Bash & Resource Fair
At the Hale ʻŌpio Summer Bash & Resource Fair, Hazelmae and Ron
represented Kauaʻi FCU with a tent where they played financial literacy games
and engaged with attendees about money, credit unions, and the resources
available to them. Events like this one are part of how Kauaʻi FCU meets young
people where they are — not waiting for them to come through the branch
door, but showing up at the spaces they are.
East Side Summer Carnival
Over two days at the East Side Summer Carnival, Kauaʻi FCU staff
volunteered to sell raffle tickets on behalf of the event organizers while also
running a financial literacy games booth with Kauaʻi FCU prizes. It was a
weekend of community and fun — and another opportunity to put friendly,
knowledgeable faces in front of community members in a relaxed, welcoming
setting.
Anaina Hou Fundraiser & Community
Sponsorship
In July, Kauaʻi FCU showed up at Anaina Hou's Annual Community Paʻina in full
spirit, volunteering at the event and celebrating alongside the families and keiki
who fill that park with life. As a sponsor of the community message board at
the playground, Kauaʻi FCU contributed $2,500 to help keep families informed,
engaged, and connected.
