At Common Ground, CDFI funding supports tropical agroforestry with multiple tiers of crops, from ‘ulu (breadfruit) to kava, leading to greater biodiversity and more resilience, especially in the face of climate change.

Kaua‘i Federal Credit Union, in partnership with the County, has deployed over $22 million in CRUA (Coronavirus Rent and Utilities Assistance), assisting over 2,500 households.

The Rise to Work program was first created in 2020 to help Kaua’i residents who lost their jobs due to the pandemic connect to temporary job opportunities.
